Acrylic ink on yupo paper & oil stick (26” x 40”). NOTE — this has a different painting on the back!

Each time I’m in Paris, I go to the Sennelier store in the 6th to buy ink and brushes. I’ve been doing this since 2017. In June 2025, a dear friend went with me (Jeorg) and she chatted up one of the workers, who turned out to be Mr Sennelier himself! He doesn’t work there anymore, but volunteer to be a the shop some days. From chatting with him, I learned that the boutique responded to artist’s problems by inventing certain products to fulfill a need. One of these was the Oil Sticks! I bought 4 colors an began experimenting with them in paintings the summer of 2025.
