Material + Process (Transparent Yupo Works)
These works are made on thin, transparent Yupo. The surface is non-absorbent, so paint sits on top, shifting, pooling, and sometimes breaking into droplets or small imperfections that are left as part of the image.
Each piece is hand cut, so the length varies slightly from work to work, while the width is consistently factory-cut at 30". This irregularity is intentional and part of the physicality of the series.
They are hung with poster rails, allowing them to remain lightly suspended from the wall. Light passes through the surface, so the work changes with its environment—feeling less like a fixed image and more like something in motion.
