Inspired from feedback gathered on Instagram, I chose the moon 🌙, because the the moon morphs into many different shapes, just like a 9. (Type 9 is the considered “the crown of the enneagram,” and is a blend of all types). 9s are also spiritual seekers, desiring to connect with the cosmos. They’re very grounded in the physical world, but can space out if facing conflict and dealing with the difficult here and now. Hence, the moon seemed to be a perfect symbol of reflecting these contrasts and lunar energies. Memes about 9s attraction to sleep and naps are also not lost here 🌝.

The blend of soft colors reflect Type 9’s peacefulness and healing presence. The harmonious blend of iridescence pastels and lack of saturation in the pigment shows 9’s self-description that they are “less of a solid person and more of an atmosphere.” My acrylic inks are very saturated by nature, and painting type 9 involved lots of additional water and patience to achieve this softness.
