“Lonely” : Grey. Icy, pale, steel blues. Deep moody hues of darkness. How profound that loneliness is the feeling of separation and being apart, disconnected, yet all your responses on my questionnaire found unanimity and togetherness of how lonely shows itself in colors. It was the first time the questionnaire responses had been uniform with the same experience, which is beautifully heartbreaking. I stenciled circles close in proximity to represent community and then one sole circle, separate from the crowd to symbolize “Lonely.”
